Re: lrtools
(excuse the double post, I want to keep individual release posts separate from the first post so I'm not constantly having to update that post)
(pre-release) Version 0.1
https://github.com/mhenr18/lrtools/releases/tag/release-0.1
This is just an initial pre-release to show that progress is being made and to see if people can actually run the tools. While I had been doing a GUI-based app called Interchange, it was OSX 10.10 and 10.11 only and wasn't going to be runnable by a lot of people here.
So, I decided to build a command line version first, and then build a GUI on top of it at a later stage. Run the binary from the command line with no arguments and it'll print out usage instructions. If you're not game for figuring this out, I'm going to do a stream in a few days when I've got updates out to get the conversions working better and explain how this thing works.
Note that this initial pre-release is still for OSX only, I'll include a Windows build soon (and a Makefile for building on Linux as well - there won't be prebuilt binaries for Linux). Also note that *the conversions aren't quite perfect yet*.
(also if you look at the source code it's pretty ugly atm lol)

Re: lrtools
All we really need is somewhere to input a .trk file and output a .sol file with one save in it. Everything else is already possible. Why is this unnecessarily complicated?
All these features already exist:
- convert a .sol to a .trk (LRA does this)
- convert a .json to a .sol (LRJS does this)
- convert a .sol to a .json (LRJS does this)
This is all we need:
- convert a .trk to a .sol (CURRENTLY NOTHING DOES THIS)

Re: lrtools
Sheldon (OSX 10.10) got it to convert Booty Swing, anton's track, but the line order is backwards (it loads the track backwards). Bosh doesn't make it past the first 3 wells
Here's the resulting .sol: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/88470717/bootyswingBADsavedLines.sol
I tried converting one of my own .trk files and nothing happened, here's what I did in terminal

Ben-Harveys-Laptop:~ annegumpper$ /Users/annegumpper/Downloads/lrtools convert /Users/annegumpper/Desktop/thing.trk /Users/annegumpper/Desktop/thing.sol

(pre-release) Version 0.2
https://github.com/mhenr18/lrtools/releases/tag/release-0.2
0.2 is still Mac only, but should fix all of the .trk issues.
All conversions should be perfect now (i.e any format to any other format), and if something doesn't work then let me know! (and also send me the track you're trying to convert for testing)

Re: lrtools
So I was expecting this to be cross platform pretty quickly but apparently that is not the case.
In the meantime, if anyone needs a trk converted to sol, HMU

Re: lrtools
So does this convert between all formats?

Re: lrtools
I haven't tested it with anything other than trk to sol (since LRA and LRJS do everything else on their own)
Re: lrtools
I'm trying to convert a .trk to .sol on 10.11 and am getting the same error as Rabid. "No tracks found." Is this just a problem with the OS?

Re: lrtools
Shua, be sure it has no 3x red lines or 3x-.5x scenery lines. And save it with no song preferences, should be convertable after that.
Re: lrtools
There are no 3x red lines and no scenery lines. I disabled the song, but I still get the error. Here's a screenshot. Am I doing it right?
I may just end up asking you to do it for me Rabid, if that's okay.

Re: lrtools
it may also not work with LRA beta 0.1, nobody has been updating this tool. But yeah you can send it to me and I'll convert it.
