Has playing linerider changed the way you view/play other games?
At face value, to someone opening the game for the first time, this is linerider:
now, this is the same game, no changed physics, completely same everything:
Doesn't it make you wonder what's possible in any other game?
I mean like, if you take a step back, we've done some crazy shit in our time with what only appears to be the most simple game imaginable. There's no way that linerider is the only game that can be changed so much while staying the same.

I've thought about it this way as well, like if such a simple game like Line Rider can be played far more differently from it's original purpose, then any game can.

On the negative side for me; Line Rider always showed me creativity. I always tried to think outside the box and matchup with everyone else, but in my own way. I was bad at it, and never got anywhere. Now everything I do I give up rather quick, and I've gotten good at very very few things since finding Line Rider.

Yep. The creative progress in lr has killed alot of gameplay experience. Minecraft and Linerider are the only games I've ever found myself hooked on. Any singleplayer story despite having astonishing graphics pale in comparison with endless possibilites in an unlimited world.
Line rider though, has made me sooo madafakin patient.
It hasn't changed how I play other games as much as it has influenced my life in general.

Well, I've all but lost interest in any other games than line rider since ~2009 lol
Only time I play games nowadays (or in the last 6 years) is to help clear my mind by playing a game that I've already beaten (usually mario 64 if I'm being honest here, which I've beaten like 10 times). Or smash bros or mariokart with friends. Pre-2008 I was hella into game design and indie games of all kinds.

For me personally, it gave me a sense of nostagia, which translates into me using older techniques in other games

I never really got into other games other than Minecraft and Phun/Algodoo, but I have to say that Line Rider really inspires me to make more sandbox games with highly constrained environments
