Re: COME TO DADDY
This is such a successfully scary, scaryass, fuckmotheringly disturbingly brilliantly scary track...
It was hard to even pay attention to the technically impressive stuff and fresh use of lineboosting.
Jesus Christ may Rubber Johnny never haunt my dreams again. HE'S EVERYWHERE. EVEN IN LR
Aphex Twin also never gets old. I knew what was coming and I still halfway shit myself.
and 4srs that stall tho
Pleasure to be skyping with you during the making of the last two seconds and throughout the editing process! Such a pro!

I have literally wanted to do a track like this for ages. Never known how to do it though:P
This was actually amazing, one of my favourite tracks ever for sure. You've inspired the fuck out of me, honestly loved this track!

That creeped the crap out of me. Well done. Good idea using those red lines like that. Never seen that before.

Re: COME TO DADDY
Well, that was disturbing. I think you did an excellent job on this, expecially the last offsled bit creeped me out. I love the different direction you took.
One thingylingy: When the downward part started at 1:43, I think it would've been more effective to keep on lineboosting and use some really quick, unnatural barrel rolls. It was much more quirky than before and I think the last bit would've been more effective if it wasn't, because it would make the contrast between the two styles bigger.
That's only minor though. The rest was executed awesomely. Epic recycle at 1:31. It felt synced to the music, was it?

I'm hoping to post a review later but I just want to say it was SO FUN figuring out how this track would go on skype with you and it's super cool to see it come to life. And judging by the reactions so far I'd say total success in reaching our goal of people shitting their pants woooooo

Skype wrote:The intro and outro were probably the creepiest parts of it. I was really banking on some sort of visual editing, like a creepier version of Phunner. Still an awesome track though, and some of that multilining was crazy awesome.

Re: COME TO DADDY
Okay so I am crazy late and I already commented on this and I was very close to the developmental process for this but I did promise you I would attempt to review this so here goes!
One point I am going to have to make up front is that this track did not really scare me. Maybe because I knew it was coming, maybe because I am older, maybe because I'm actually a real-life badass, maybe because you and dap are wimps But for whatever reason it didn't really scare me that much. Ah well.
Second there is a single frame of the end of the track before the recording starts and it bugs me. I'm guessing that was a thing Premiere did when you sped up the recording (it does that to me too, and then I have to fix it)
I think this is just gonna be a random list of things I want to say? I don't know. Third, I am really sad you never made a second video for this, I am really curious what you would put in credits and such.
Fourth! I think it is really cool that this track started out with you being really pissed off about college apps and just angrily making track, and then coming back later and making something cool out of it. Sometimes emotions can be ways for us to bypass the doubts in our head that keep us from making anything without us questioning if we like it or if it's good enough or if anyone else will like it or if it means anything at all after we draw like 3 lines.
Fifth, the whole multi-lining style is pretty sweet, but it's pretty clear that you got better and better at it as you went. It steps it up a notch at 0:40. I really like 0:44, 0:54, 0:57, 1:00, 1:10, and of course 1:30-1:33
Six! I really like the shift at 0:28 to more spread out, works with the gradual shift of the music excellently
Seven - the subtle fading up of the creepy numbers is excellent, blends right in and you can't even really tell it's not in the song.
Eight - at 1:40 I would never have guessed these were "nine"s if you hadn't told me. The sound was kind of disconcerting and I dunno if it made the video/track/experience better.
Nine. I agree with Raf that 1:42-1:47 is more standard-quirky and thus less actual-quirky and it is a little odd. I think maybe something simpler to speed him up may have worked better?
Ten - Countdown is cool though. Maybe a bit too loud IMO.
Eleven. Love the airtime & countdown
Twelve. Not sure if waiting an entire extra rotation for "two" was a good idea
Thirteen. I personally probably would have made the offsled a split second after "two" instead of immediately.
Fourteen. The offsled was nicely done.
Fifteen. I love the idea of an offsled ending that really works for the track and doesn't look dumb. It really turned out well.
Sixteen. Love the blackness "stall" I wonder what it was like seeing that for the average viewer who didn't know what was coming.
Seventeen - I think it maybe lingered on that a little long (3 whole seconds) before playing the melody
Eighteen. Is that really the scariest Rubber Johnny clip you could find?
So yeah this track is like, original in tons of ways and I think the planning you put into it was key Also the channeling of strong emotion. And the audio editing and sound effects and stuff, which we should do more of and stuff. That's all I got.
