I don't totally agree with you. Flodux was a good trackmaker but he never had the influence of LineBuster or Moizut who were both known in the Irtl community. You can also quote KCLN I think.

Lysndr is known for his collab with LineBuster (which still for me one of the best french collab).
Concerning Scully, lptop and jackyboy, they are pionners. They are the french "unconed".

I find the French community fascinating, I'd love to hear more about it on the broadcast!

Yep, Flodux came during the decline, he doesn't have the same influence than anyone you've mentioned. Imo, he became the most skilled, but he wasn't there at the right time. KCLN would be another contender, but I'm thinking people were often comparing him to his brother (at least, I did) - doesn't help that they almost have the same name too.

Lysndr is an interesting case because he wasn't really known back then. In retrospect, I can say his impact was underrated, probably because he didn't post a lot on the forums. Underworld was no doubt his most memorable solo track.

This is really cool and I would love to do an episode on the French community sometime! (it could be both of you involved if noname is interested)

But since dap had to cancel I still am going to need a cohost for this coming sunday.

I would like to do some minimal scenery since it would line up pretty well in the minimalisme clan. So if anyone would like to also do some (minimal?) scenery that would be great, let me know if you'd like to cohost!

Alternatively, we can also do synced manuals in which case I will work on my track for Benji. so post if you'd be interested in that too.

We know eventually you'll come back and SLAM rabid is back. I'd rather you get a break and get to come back feeling refreshed after the way things have been lately, anyway.

Actually we just added a full sunday rehearsal at 4PM on sunday, which means I have to go from rehearsal with the handbell group ending at 1:30 straight to the theater. But even if that weren't the case, I would still need to cancel because I have a ton of work to do on this show (sound effects, mics, and projections), and because I am mixing (and it is a really hard show to mix) I REALLY need a full night's sleep every night, so I don't have the option of pulling all nighters to get the design done.

But the show is great. Just, to give you an idea - on my plate:
- mic and mix an offstage band. Was going to be ~10piece, but the volunteer band sucked so badly that we nixed them and hired professionals but they haven't arrived yet... so that's a little crazy.
- program scenes for and mix 27 mics (there are three scenes where like, 20 of them are onstage and they all have individual solo lines, jesus H christ)
- about 60 sound effects. One number has 28 farts and burps timed with the music. One number has a large number of dragon roars that are generated from the actress's voice.
- projections that I have to make from scratch in a storybook style. Includes a several sunset animations/videos, one which is magical, a sunrise, and about 10 different locations (swamp, forest, hilltop, dragon's castle, tower in the sky, torture chamber, inside a barn, cathedral... etc)

I kind of have the best job ever except I get paid pretty abysmally for it haha. And that it all ends up converging on tech week and I get impossibly busy for a few days.

To bad I'm all the way down in the South. Looks like you could use an extra set of hands for all that.

alright, I want to have a broadcast this sunday, but it'll have to be late-ish my time. like 8PM CST or so. same thing I planned for two sundays ago.

Buuut, I feel like the clan scenery is far beyond anything I could do. So I'm having a hard time thinking I could actually do a broadcast with that. So I'm thinking of working on the exasperatingly overdue manual sync track for benji (then again, what am I working on that ISN'T horribly overdue)

erm I'm gonna be able to cohost on April 5th, which is two days before my birthday. It's safe to assume I'll be able to bring pretty much anything you ask to the table and at this point it's less about posterity to me so I won't mind whatever we do
