Line Rider gifs

specifications for gifs on social media

Hey guys, let's make gifs. I'll start with this own one I made 6 years ago:



We can also use them to bring awareness to Line Rider in gif heavy sites, like Reddit and Tumblr.

EDIT:
Tumblr gif specs
Max size: 1MB (it shouldn't be a problem with LR gifs since there are so few colors)
Max dimensions: 500px wide (700px high)
Max frames: 100
Max photos per set: 10
Max duration:
2.5 sec @ 40 fps
5 sec @ 20 fps
It is possible to tile a bunch of gifs together if the clip is too long to be one image.

If Line Rider gets more interest on tumblr, we could set up a line rider tumblr blog dedicated to Line Rider gifs and movies. Since Line Rider is trademarked, we could tell InXile that we can help with social media if they can help us take over linerider.tumblr.com through this process.

So the idea is to make an Infinite gif?

@ shotoku, Ktk had that as his avatar iirc.

Slowed to 33 fps because i can't set the frame time interval to 0.025 so it rounded up to 0.03 seconds long.
There were around 140 frames but Tumblr didn't accept it. I removed half the frames so it ended up with around 70 frames at 20 fps, which Tumblr accepted it.

If you want me to do a gif, you have to send me a PERFECT recording at 40fps. I really don't want to go through each frame removing duplicates.

^ lower the number of colors. tumblr accepts files under 1024kb

^ I post line rider stuff among other things on there and I have been like the only line rider guy on tumblr for years now (used to post them on my personal blog until I made the sideblog, if you look at the line rider tag 75% of it is either me or me)

having videos (in the form of gifs probably converted to video on most major websites) autoplay will make them extremely accessible and easy to consume, evident by what happened on reddit recently
