A little test
I've been working on a new style, with more depth and detail than anything I've done before. I need some criticism and feedback on whether or not you guys like this, and what I can improve of it. I know there's some problems with the islands being less defined than the ripples, but I'd love to get some more ideas. Does it even make sense? Were you torqued after watching it? Did you vomit uncontrollably when watching? What's your credit card #?
anyways,
oh yeah, and I made it in unleashed because my computer sucks.

That makes me jelly. Fantastic.
Buuut keep in mind that things generally get darker as they approach the viewer in a 3d aspect (for instance, the shore).
Glad to see you still playing. Hang out in the chat more

Re: A little test
Looks really awesome, far superior to mine The only thing is maybe add a bit more detail on the lilypads, they seem a bit naked to everything else. Otherwise this is a really cool style.

Pretty good start, a couple things I would criticize would be that all the trees look like different types or bark. In the forest, the trees should have a uniform design. The other thing is that the leaves on many of the trees look the same as the sand on the beach, try to make the leaves more distinct.
I would really like to say what this looks like after it's continued!

your trees seemed to get better as we moved to the right.
not sure what I think about the flat line on the bottom of the screen. Part of me feels like cool no track lines in the way, but another part of me is like why not just have a big piece of line art? but then again, presenting it as a video that you scroll past is cooler than a picture. Personally I like to see tracks within the scenery but as that wouldn't really work with this style... you do what you like man
I loved the dots on the islands! I can tell that you're super excited by unleashed because of no lag, so yeah.
some sports the perspective was a little odd because we can't see a horizon line so the lilypads for example were a bit flat. This is the photographer in me speaking If you want to see what I mean, walk outside and try to take a picture that covers this much space and you'll notice you can't not include the horizon unless you're like 20 feet off the ground.
Also take a look at some trees outside too, notice how branches never just grow upward, they sort of bush out in various ways depending on the tree. sunlight comes from all directions so trees want to cover all the surface area with leaves/needles.

I love your style so don't change it too much but I think you could use this to make your trees more treelike

Re: A little test
Wow, I love this style! It's like a more 3D-ish version of BHCS's Evolution.
Now.... to figure out how to incorporate track into that.

Hmm. I felt like the style seemed a bit inconsistent, with some following the pointillism aspect, and others using anything but. Personally, I liked the pointillism stuff a lot better, and sticking with that could end up looking really, really awesome.

Re: A little test
Really nice idea, man But don't forget to put some eyecatcher in the picture/track. To watch some trees and water is not that exciting!
Also don't mix too many styles. The concept of the dots is nice, but the waving lines in the water are super strong and don't fit in the whole picture. Keep the dot style! I love it!
When you want to keep the idea of a long moving picture, maybe you can try to use a vanishing point. That will give your pic some depth. Also try to use shadows

Re: A little test
The details were a bit disproportionate with the small dots, and some of the trees looked off-perspective, but very nice.
