Um I'd suggest an Akai 25 over the mini, unless you have TouchOSC for your iPhone and can somehow make the mini work alongside that. I havent gotten touchOSC to work at all so theres that. garageband is a fanatstic program though. start learning how to make your own stuff with it, like write your own chords instead of using the loops. it can do alot more than whats on the first glance. And I'm much more willing to answer those "guys on youtube" questions so ask away and I'll try and answer as resourcefully as possible.
