Anemoia: nostalgia for a time you've never known.
Second ''postham'' release.

Re: Anemoia
Brilliant use of the camera and syncing, the second half's continuous line aesthetic was beautiful as well

Re: Anemoia
The track started out a little bit understated in terms of syncs. When the drums hit, I could tell you were syncing it to the rhythm, but it left me hoping that it might become more deliberate as the track went on. And then you absolutely delivered. The track really started taking shape right around 1:33 due to how strong the sense of intention was, and that feeling carried out through the rest of the track. I think this might also be the first example of smooth riding pencil feel? Everything from the drop onwards felt super smooth.

I (think?) you can create a smooth ride with a pencil like effect if you add small lines on every frame that affect him and then mask the rest with pencil. Going through this in slomo, you'll notice the lines change somewhat when he does a manual. Could also be that live line editing helped. Not sure the exact thing, but that's one of the techniques I've done myself in the past, so that's my best guess.

That was really neat to watch. You executed this idea wonderfully and made it consistent the whole way through. I also like how simple it looks while still being really technical in places. Unlike many modern tracks, this one is much more approachable by people unfamiliar with how the game works because of it's simple premise.

Re: Anemoia
Damn, I hadn't expected a response this positive! Thanks everyone. To clear up some stuff: the entire track was made in LRJS. @Opal: I didn't mean to sync to the rhythm, so that must be a byproduct of the pencil. @OTDE: you're correct about the small lines.
I'm only speaking from personal experience of course, but this series has been SO liberating. I'd recommend anyone to just let your imagination run wild. It's brought back a lot of fun for me
