browser-based .sol track PLAYER!
Webpage
Github
I figured out how to parse .sol files in javascript and decided to make something with it, but I didn't really bother with making it pretty or full of features. At least it's not a command line tool
EDIT: It can play tracks now. Rendering is slow because it's very unoptimized.

You did NOT just post a screenie after 8 years of waiting for this.
BTW what can the tool be used for?

Where is that lineart from it's magical.
I really enjoy seeing that you used JS to make this happen, it kinda warmed my heart. Gonn go look at source and see if I feel like makng a thing out of it.
ALSO! Been trying to use it and I cannot figure out how to zoom in on a anything for the life of me. I tired loading Inhibitions and it was so zoomed out I thought it wasn't loading. Then, I tried loading another save file that wasn't called savedLines.sol....and the result is that it's telling me a dialogue box claiming some bullshit about "This is p;robably not a .sol! ERror "type" not yet implemented: 7"
IS THIS TELLING ME THAT INHIBITIONS NOW HAS TERMINAL SEVEN. I WILL NOT SLEEP UNTIL I JUSTIFY THIS UNJUSTICE!

I didn't implement zooming
I'm not sure why your save file didn't get parsed. It doesn't need to be called "savedLines.sol." Can you send it to me for me to inspect?

Re: browser-based .sol track PLAYER!
I have been waiting for so fucking long and refreshed your youtube so many times over the years hoping omniverse 2 would come out.
I'm so jealous you didn't have to write an AMF parser from scratch. Cough.
if you're curious: here's what I know about the header.
I don't have the page I referenced for .sol format, but here's a snippet.
http://pastebin.com/94Z0apDU
Not that it helps too much, you can pretty much just skip it using a value like you are anyway, but if you were curious that's it. Might also be part of your problem parsing the file someone was having trouble with. It may be using another amf version? iunno.
Cheers

Fixed .sol loading problem. Also adjusted line thickness for large tracks, but I haven't implemented zoom yet.
Next, I'm gonna implement playback (FINALLY)

For the record, OII was previewed in Conun's interview. And cool!

Re: browser-based .sol track PLAYER!
5:03 PM rabidsquirrel mod: play button sometimes lags like crazy
5:04 PM rabidsquirrel mod: oh wait nvm it ust doesn;t change zoom leve
5:04 PM rabidsquirrel mod: wow, looks awsome
5:04 PM rabidsquirrel mod: just need a camera now haha
5:05 PM conundrumer ban: at this point i'm gonna put in inside the editor i made a while ago so i dont' have to use these janky buttons
5:05 PM rabidsquirrel mod: anyway. I am seriously impressed
5:05 PM conundrumer ban: [thumbs up]
5:06 PM conundrumer ban: the only guy who publically shares tangile progress :|
5:06 PM conundrumer ban: tangible
5:06 PM rabidsquirrel mod: let's try it with some heavy scenery
5:06 PM conundrumer ban: uh oh
5:06 PM conundrumer ban: the rendering is completely unoptimized
5:06 PM conundrumer ban: fortunately the background doesn't move so only the initial load will be slow
5:07 PM rabidsquirrel mod: playback is super slow
5:07 PM rabidsquirrel mod: est 5-10 fps
5:07 PM conundrumer ban: if you see the stuff i'm using, it will be obvious why
5:07 PM rabidsquirrel mod: so that's not indicative of anything?
5:07 PM conundrumer ban: yea
5:08 PM conundrumer ban: i didn't bother trying to make rendering fast
5:08 PM rabidsquirrel mod: k cool
5:08 PM conundrumer ban: in fact, you could right click on the image and save it to your computer
5:08 PM conundrumer ban: wait can you?
5:08 PM rabidsquirrel mod: nope it doesn;t see it as an image
5:08 PM conundrumer ban: it's a .svg
5:08 PM conundrumer ban: it keeps redrawing a whole svg
5:10 PM rabidsquirrel mod: yeah, in developer in chrome I see each individual line is a thing on the html page
5:10 PM conundrumer ban: lol yep
5:10 PM conundrumer ban: right, it's an inline svg
5:10 PM conundrumer ban: you can do that for webpages nowadays, manually write vector graphics right in the webpage
5:10 PM rabidsquirrel mod: along with bosh being entirely html lol
5:10 PM rabidsquirrel mod: kinda surreal
TL;DR - playback works and it's awesome. Lag no worse than flash player lag. No camera yet. Bosh is made of html.

Bump BC I didn't have a computer but I wanted to see an .sol, and this works really well on mobile (Android, at least).
