Where to pick back up? Empty Where to pick back up?

Post by iBagel Fri Mar 11, 2016 5:06 am

Hi guys!

Some of you may or may not remember me, but I'm looking to get back into track making. What the 'accepted' version to use? the advanced version? Vanilla? Javascript?

Thanks!

Yo!
I'd personally recommend LRA, but LRJS is also pretty great! Either one reduces your lag by a crazy awesome amount, and they're both useful.

If you want to sync to music, LRA is probably your best bet for now.

lrjs main thread

If you want to sync music, LRJS has that capability. The other guys recommend LRA because that's what they've been using the whole time. With LRJS, it has most of LRA's features in addition to an improved camera, video export, and onion skinning. And you can import LRA tracks.

I'd actually wager that LRJS is much easier to get into
LRA will take some time to jump into, LRJS is much prettier. You may find that as you want to get more technical LRA is the one for you, but as loyal as I am to LRA, I'm gonna push LRJS for those returning. Smile

I actually found the opposite true for me. I was able to pick up on lra pretty quick, while I found lrjs somewhat confusing when I tried using it. I would recommend trying both so you cen decide for yourself which one you like better.

Also, welcome back, iBagel
