Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
Welcome to the current CSP project!
ATTENTION: There will be no scenery splitting in this project. One of the new low-lag versions of Line Rider is needed to participate.
One version you may use is Line Rider: Advanced, which is being developed by @LoneVampire.

Here are some things to note if you choose to use LRA:
Another version you may use is Line Rider JavaScript, which is being developed by @Conundrumer.

You may post any type of file when you are finished.

Here are some things to note if you choose to use LRA:
- Spoiler:
- - DO NOT use any size of scenery line other than 1!
- In order to load the .sol file, you will need to place it in the Tracks folder in the Line Rider Advanced folder. On mac, right-click on the .app and click on "view package contents"
- If you leave snapping on by default, scenery lines will snap to each other
- If it seems a bit choppy, this is because when LRA lags, it drops frames instead of seconds. This makes music syncing and such possible even in moderate-lag situations.
- The final recording will be at 0.75 speed
- Control Z to undo (on mac it is still control)
Another version you may use is Line Rider JavaScript, which is being developed by @Conundrumer.

Here are some things to note if you choose to use LRJS:
- Spoiler:
- - In order to load a file, you will need to open up the advanced menu via the arrow to the right of the tools
- Hold Command on Mac or Control on Windows to toggle snapping off
- to activate "preview mode", open up the console (on Mac, View -> Developer -> JavaScript Console) and type "colorLock = false" and hit enter, then play and stop the track. To deactivate it do the same but with "colorLock = undefined"
- There is no backspace, you will have to use the undo capability
You may post any type of file when you are finished.
General FAQ:
- Spoiler:
- Do I have to be any good at scening? No! That's what this is for actually, people who want to try scenery but don't feel like they're very good.
- How much do I have to scene?
Here's an example: https://i.imgur.com/EpL2a.png - How detailed should I make my scenery?
As much or as little as you want! The only real guideline is you probably shouldn’t spend less than 20 minutes on the part. - How will I know what to scene?
Someone will hopefully post a track file and a picture of the part you should scene. - Can I scene into someone else's part?
Yes, a little. You can even erase a little of it. But please try to keep what you do in your part primarily. - Can I scene beyond the edges of the part
The lines that don't serve as dividers to separate parts from each other roughly mark the edge of the video, so it won’t hurt, but keep in mind that basically anything beyond those lines won't show up in the video. - How long do I have?
As long as you want, as long as you make progress and post an update a minimum of once per week. If you don't tell everyone you're still working and more than I week goes by your part may go to the next person. - What if I don't want to do it anymore?
Just post and let everyone know. No hard feelings! Please don't just disappear, we want to keep the projects moving. - The track doesn't work!
Please post with 1) What version of Line Rider you are using 3) Exactly what you are trying to do and what is happening

Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
Now that LRA is Mac-compatible (only feature currently missing is music sync, which isn't an issue for this track), and a 25k scenery track has been released in LRA, I want to officially switch this project over to LRA. Let me know if you have thoughts or objections to this.
No word on if Yoban has taken it yet (I'm messaging him on skype)

Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
Updated the OP to reflect our switch to LRA:
Part #2
Anton is working on it already
ATTENTION: We are using Line Rider: Advanced for this project, because of the immense lag reduction involved (which also means we won’t have to deal with the frustrating and difficult process of splitting the scenery)
If you do not currently have Line Rider Advanced, you can download it in this thread:
https://iridethelines.forumotion.com/t11154-line-rider-advanced
If you have a mac, never fear - I have a beta version for Mac that I can let you use if necessary, and Lone Vampire plans to release a full mac version to the public very soon.
Things to note about LRA:
- In order to load the .trk file, you will need to place it in the Tracks folder in the Line Rider Advanced folder.
- Turn snapping off, or scenery lines will snap to each other
- If you zoom out too far and get lost, pressing F1 (while holding fn if you’re on a macbook) will bring you back to the start.
- There is no preview mode, or pencil dots (I’m hoping he can add these features soon)
- If it seems a bit choppy, this is because when LRA lags, it drops frames instead of seconds. This makes music syncing and such possible even in moderate-lag situations.
- The final recording will be 75% the speed LRA runs at (30fps instead of 40fps)
- Control Z to undo. Really. A true undo, that works 100% of the time.

Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
A note about the new scenery features in LRA 1.4 - Any size scenery line other than 1 is not allowed in this project (for a variety of reasons)
Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
bumperooni, anyone wanna take a shot at this?
You can take as many parts as you like by the way (Wolf_Spirit did about half the parts in Dacite Scened haha)

Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
Lol, okay, anton can do part 5, mmt can do the next part! Sound good anton?
Re: Community Scenery Project #6: Triumph
Bump because LRA is now backwards compatible, thanks to mhenr's linetools! Woohoo!
https://iridethelines.forumotion.com/t11393-lrtools
From now on, each new part will be posted as a .sol so you can easily load the track into any version you please. LRA or LRJS are highly recommended because of the vastly reduced lag, but B2 is also doable if that's what you're used to.
PART #5 SOL DOWNLOAD
EDIT: Updated the OP - People may now use any version to participate! (Beta 2 is not recommended once we get over like 20,000 lines, but totally possible, and we're only at like 11k right now)
