Shit, yeah. I had fixed that a few times, but WMM was not wanting to be cooperative tonight, and kept crashing. I could never remember what I had already fixed.

Wow, I enjoyed that more than I could logically quantify. Meaning I can't state exactly why I enjoyed it I just did. That was awesome. And unique. In my book much more memorable than your previous tracks.

Drift Away - Opal Rider Empty Re: Drift Away - Opal Rider

Okay so a rabid review has been requested so I'm going more in depth.

Intro in my above post ^

Specifics!
- the bit right at 0:15 is the perfect moment to start this track - how he gently and smoothly rolls into the integration. It feels natural, not like some manual tracks where you feel like bosh's durability is being pushed to the limit (typically made by quirkers)
- then following it up with a super quick switchback - this progression really makes it clear that you totally understand how Bosh moves in manuals and are in total control here.
- And then I love 0:17 because it shows that you're also striving for creativity here - we have a fake loop and then he rides the outside of the curve. a delightful bit of georgio-style.
- then we have a bit of recycling that is smooth and flawless and launches Bosh into another bit of smooth unpredictable manual deliciousness - which means that the entire track is basically encapsulated in the first 7 seconds.
- I love the unpredictable moment at 0:23
- and the bit of foolery at 0:26, playing with our desire for him to do a tail manual
- I love how you hide the granuals like at 0:28 so that we don't see them coming
- solid clearly-intentional low-manual at 0:34
- nice moment at 0:36
- beautiful recycle at 0:41
- nice single line at 0:45
- I'm surprised by how much speed he gains at 0:47 and how you use that speed to whip him around and intensify the perception of it
- didn't notice until second watch but awesome recycle at 0:54
- I like how this section picks up with the music, whether planned or not
- nice moment at 0:57
- also cool at 1:03
- quirk was good and fit but wasn't as groovy as the rest of the track, and ending it right after it made it feel weird.
- however, the ending was awesomely silky smooth - more so than anywhere else in the track.

After going through the track piece by piece, I see a Georgio influence which I didn't see earlier because your style is so much smoother. I can't say this track brings anything new to the table, but it certainly shows me that you are really damn good at manuals and know how to play with expectations to maximize enjoyment. I enjoyed nearly every moment of this track and I think the slower, flowier style makes you more memorable. Also, it felt short and the ending was good but obviously unplanned. If you're looking for feedback for future projects I would say my #1 piece of advice would be work on vision, and by that I don't mean add more asdfs, I mean have some kind of a plan when you start the track and challenge yourself to bring it to fruition. And aim higher. Strive for greater things than a mildly entertaining smooth fun manual track.

Definitely feels a bit like Georgio, and your curves are very well drawn, as well as how Bosh rides them. Quite a few things bug me for some reason. A lot of it has to do with the visual distance he gets away from the lines on the integration and manuals. I think I'm just more used to Bosh looking like he's still on the lines rather than floating around them, especially the shoulder ones where he doesn't keep as consistent an angle around them as the other ones.

Per usual, your curves are very well drawn to the point where I could almost say you draw the smoothest strange-shaped curves, and still have the technical aspect in them.

I think your tracks could benefit from some more circular / pressured stuff sprinkled in to make it closer to OTDE, or having tighter integration, granuals, and stronger gwells to make it more like Georgio, because right now you seem in the middle (which is good because it gives you your own style), but I think you can keep that special in-the-middle feel your tracks have even with adding more of those elements into your tracks.

Whoa! That was awesome. I loved all the unconventionally-shaped curves and integrations. Many parts were cool to look at in addition to being cool tricks. Awesome job bro Thumbs Up

I think this compliment really caught my attention more than any. I've been trying to get people to pay attention to that kind of stuff for ages, and I'm really glad that you noticed.
