Re: LR V3.4.X [03 MAY 2015 UPDATE]

Post by [senpai] kevans on Wed May 21, 2014 7:51 pm

~Fixed the bug that shotoku was concerned about. Flag is now more accurate and displays time on updated frame like Kramwood mentioned.
~Fixed a bug concerning clicking the trash can, resulting in a prematurely deleted flag time before confirmation.
~Fixed a bug concerning the autosave time not displaying correctly
~Fixed a bug concerning the autosave line count not toggling properly
(Please note that the bigger your sol is, the more noticeable the autosave becomes, causing a small delay when this occurs.)

+Added a status text update when track autosaves.

Download link has been updates on first page.

Should have downloaded more RAM. Or a bear.

I need to visit IRtL more. Darkness is pure gold.

Another small update. Made it so Fraps doesn't slow down it's capture speed when recording tracks while in slow motion.

LR runs at half speed on my machine anyway, no matter how I try to improve performance.

The line angle feature hsd actually proved most helpful in placing that one line nobody can never get.

What are the specs of your computer? Mine from... 8 years ago can run it just fine. (Not with a lot of lines though)

First thing would be to see what is eating up your RAM as I assume that is the issue here. Run a few virus scans and just overall clean your PC.

Re: LR V3.4.X [03 MAY 2015 UPDATE]

Post by ScrungleBlumpkus on Tue Jun 10, 2014 1:58 pm

I'm not a computer noob :3
I've maxed ou the stats of this dinosaur, anyway. And part of it is the huge monitoring software dad has on this thing which eat up everything.
2.8 GHz single core cpu with 2 GB RAM. The problem is the bus speed. I can't remember where I figured it out but I remember it being slow. You can have all the RAM in the world but if you can't read or write to it quickly, you're out of luck. The cache in the CPU is also atrocious.

Dad just wanted a computer that worked. With less than 300 lines or so, it runs perfectly. But past that, it slows down. With 2000 lines, I get about 10 fps.

I'm experiencing a bug. It MAY be my computer or some hook dad has set to read information about the mouse and keyboard. But I'll just post about it here anyway and see what you think.
Often, when I'm trying to draw a line, the game will draw a tiny line (circular, basically) at each end of the line, especially when I'm using XY snap. If I am drawing a line and sharply change the angle while I'm drawing it, ti'll draw the line at the first angle and then start drawing a new one. The reason I think it may be my computer is that it may be logging the position of the mouse and the speed and distance that it moves when it suddenly changes direction and behavior.

It also randomly goes into pencil mode sometimes after I click the stop button.

Minor update. link has been updated.

Fixed bug concerning preview mode.
Fixed bug concerning autosave not turning off when user specified.

Replaced 40 fps lock with custom water mark text. Have it display your name or name of track. Remembers it as per user, not as per track.

EDIT: Changed the settings menu around. Made settings a bit more coherent on what they do, made the menu larger, and organized the settings.

H key doesn't open help, and I couldn't find any button for it (I was looking for shortcut list because...)
F key doesn't return to flag.
Home key doesn't go to first line.
End key doesn't go to last line.

cool cheers,

suggestion for kev, scenery line thickness selector, thinner lines for detailed work and thicker line to speed up filling in, 5 thicknesses perhaps

related to that, I think a lot of people would appreciate it if the line thickness of the grey preview line, the green line, the black line, and the line at different zoom levels didn't fluctuate/change. Would save a lot of scening headache. Dunno if possible.

The preview line thickness has already been done, and even turns a darker shade of grey when snapped. As for the gaping issue while zooming, this isn't something I can really fix. LR takes advantage of Flash's built in dynamic drawing functions that uses math to generate visual images. If for some reason the math out puts white, that's what you end up seeing.

would it make it better to have the grey line the same thickness as the line you're drawing so you an draw without gaps?

Updates line length limit. Keep in mind that if the line is too long it will cause graphic bugs.
