LR V3.4.X [03 MAY 2015 UPDATE]

LR Beta 2 V3.4.X

LR 3.4.X Features list. No particular order:

-Opens at 1280 x 720
-Load track button on title screen
-Color playback toggle
-Slowmotion improvement, including auto-slowmotion and adjustable rates.
-Custom zoom playback. Adjust the level of zoom the track plays at.
-Contact points.
-Autosave, as per timed or line count.
-Pause button
-Removed help screen
-Faster track loading
-Fixed speedometer
-Improved timer, this includes minor single frame offsets.
-Vectorized graphics
-Color eraser sticky and memory
-Zoom buffed to 2400, 6.7 has a max of 1400. Holding shift not necessary.
-Flag lock. Hold shift to use flag if setting is on.
-Flag saving. Will remember last flag used in track if one has been placed.
-Fast Forward (space), amount can be adjusted in settings.
-Rewind track (CTRL/CMD). Amount can be adjusted in settings.
-Frame forward key (press ] while paused)
-Reduced scenery line lag. This effect is minor, but noticeable.
-Corruption prevention. Loading tracks will “cure” a soon to be corrupt track. This function will not fix already corrupted tracks, and will not prevent corruption in editor.
-Default save name (“untitled”) changed to include date and time.
-Quick save added, hold shift and click the floppy.
-Start point replaced with bosh.
-Can draw in start point.
-Line cross hair is visible over lines.
-UI shows line length and angle. Also shows zoom.
-UI will flash a message whenever a setting is toggled via keyboard shortcut instead of settings menu.
-Multi-joint snapping. Lines can be snapped to lines that have already snapped.
-Line swapping. Hold ‘s’ while using eraser. Holding down “S + D” will duplicate red lines, “S + X” will swap collision sides, and “CTRL/CMD + S” will swap line direction.
-Holding CTRL/CMD while drawing red lines will make the acceleration point the opposite way you draw.
-No line angle limit
-Flag displays time when placed, this applies to ghost as well
-Load tracks without scenery
-Z/X and V/B zoom adjust during playback acts like editor zoom.
-Preview line displays the color and same thickness as line when drawn
-compass auto updates
-XY snap comes with 45 snap.
-Line tool can snap to XY45 mid draw by holding X
-Save menu saftey questions. Yes/no box will appear whenever possible progress may be lost
-Separate sol file to remember certain settings
-Pencil smoothing
-Ghost flag toggle
-Hide toggles for UI and status text
-Scroll slow motion adjust
-Forced save and loading revisions. Adds some backwards compatibility.
-Pressing Shift + Enter/return in editor will toggle preview mode.
-Pencil XY snap.
-Scroll zoom pans editor
-Water mark setting, allowing you to replace fps meter with custom text. Special commands include (w/out quotes): "var:time", "var:speed", "var:topSpeed", "var:frames".
-adjust game so when fraps records, it will record at 40 fps instead of whatever rate the game was slowed down to.
-Shift clicking zoom tool will allow user to jump to custom zoom
-Line counters display behavior of lines instead of colors
-Tapping 'Z' mid line draw will swap collision sides.
-Corrected start toggle. Fun fact, that initial movement to the right you see was a bug.
-Hold down 'M' to match the angle of the line you're snapped to.
-Line "dotting", clicking with pencil tool without moving will create a dot with scenery lines
-Pressing "L" with hit test enabled will turn on/off live hit test mode. During this mode, only the lines bosh is currently touching will light up, others will turn off. This causes lag depending on size of track
-Toggle to enable dual fakies. Special restrictions will be applied
-Specify which contact point for the camera to follow
-Adjust sensitivity of camera pan
-Arbitrary zoom setting in options menu. Will take any number greater than 5, but less than 2400
-Demo recording for when tracks fail to work across platforms

I've had this bug re occur more than once.

I save a track and then quit. I reopen it and load it, but if I try to delete a few lines for some reason it deletes one of the first ten lines created in the track and you can't undo it unless you reload the saved track.

Fixed some minor bugging and improved scroll zooming. Zooms in where mouse is, rather than just scaling image.

Have you had any issues with laptops running this? Both me and a friend can't use space to pan around and sometimes the trackpad just doesn't do anything at all in the program but works out of it.

That's your laptop causing the problem. Some laptops will disable the keyboard while using the track pad, and or vice versa. Mine does it as well, but I have a mouse plugged into my laptop, so it's not an issue for me. There really isn't anything I can do about it on my end.

Depending on the brand name you can change that. My old HP had the ability to change it somewhere in the advanced track pad settings

Would it be possible to have it display the degree (relative to the horizontal axis facing the left side being 0, facing the right side being 180) angle and the length of the line in pixels for each line you place and a tool to read this information on a line?

Figured it oculd add to line control. I was planning on writing a script to draw curves for me, but in doing so I realized it might be helpful to have angles. then I wanted to write it myself and realized how little I know Flash. So I turned to my favorite programmer...  8D

Well if it's to have an easier time drawing curve, then it'll have to be a no go. That's something you can teach yourself how to do, and there's already plenty of methods you could try. I'd suggest drawing out a simple cross with green lines and comparing each quadrant to make sure the curve looks even.

Or you could hold a cup onto your monitor and trace it. Doesn't even have to be a cup, anything circular will work.

Well, I can draw curves well. The point here isn't for that. It'd be for better line control, however, and to do things liike telling if you made the angle of a line stronger or weaker in flings. I think it'd make an excellent reference point. I'm not trying to cheat. :P

The difference in angle is usually pretty subtle. After you get used to the game and how the lines work, it becomes pretty obvious which lines are more or less angled than others. Just takes some time and practice to get used to

If the feature is unwanted, don't implement it. But just becuase some users don't prefer it doesn't mean it's a bad idea. I think it could lead to interesting uses.

Another Small Update, link has been updated, please re-download.

~Fixed bug concerning the start point and menus.
~Fixed bug concerning loading a saved flag and time not resuming properly and will now display time on flag upon load.
~Fixed a bug concerning lines being 'snap-able' after they've been loaded.
~Fixed a bug concerning when frames are drawn (Now draws bosh before new position is calculated, removing two absent frames during initial playback)

+Added a "locked" 40 fps toggle for recording purposes.
+Added a FPS counter next to compass distance.
+Added the ability to snap onto either side of the lines. Removed after discovering this made stacking near impossible at close ranges.
+Added a distance and angle display for line drawing. (see below for more info)
+FPS update is more immediate.

~Changed a few Aesthetics.

-And the usual, cleaned up unnecessary code.

I can't explain why I changed my mind without going into a rant. So here you go  :| . This had nothing to do with you dap, you could of argued this as much as you wanted, and I would of kept my answer a firm no.
