Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
I like it. Would be handy to have a key-shortcut to the options menu.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Obviously no one uses this version a lot.
Whenever you get back from the save window, or the playing mode, the tool goes back to the magnifying glass. Kind of annoying.
No more ghost for contact points? meh. But that's your taste for your version.
The square window for save look weird. I think the margins are too small.
I don't really like the settings inside the save, but I'm fine with it and I can get used to it.
Other than that, less lag, which is good, and I like the additions to the settings panel.
And yeah, keyboard shortcuts.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
quite a large number of bugs too.
However, probably the best you've made so far.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
kevans, shoulder-centered bosh? tbh it looks better if it's butt-centered, especially for non-fakie free falling.
EDIT: the settings that should be saved in the savedLines.sol don't really work. At least not for hit test and playback zoom (current zoom).
And you call the left contact lines purple? It's more pink. Aaanyways, it's kind of hard to distinguish hands and feet, although there is the scarf to indicate the shoulder. It'd still be nice to have like dark/light blue for the arms and dark/light purple(pink) for the legs or something. I do like the deletion of the red line connecting bosh to the sled in offsled, if that can make you happier.
EDIT2: doing ctrl-enter in editing mode does weird stuff. Opens settings menu twice and a 'delete track' confirmation window.
There's also typos in the readme, but whatever.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Sorry, removed some unnecessary code in that area, didn't notice, will fix. (Trust me, it wasn't necesary)gaoyubao wrote:kevans, shoulder-centered bosh? tbh it looks better if it's butt-centered, especially for non-fakie free falling.
Aight, I'll take a look into that. Keep me updated on those things if other stuff keeps going wrong.EDIT: the settings that should be saved in the savedLines.sol don't really work. At least not for hit test and playback zoom (current zoom).
Yeah, thought that system would be better, I'll work on that. And you call the left contact lines purple? It's more pink. The shortcut key was shift+enter. I'll still look into this. EDIT: THis is something that flash does, not what I did. Can't fix it. Go ahead and try it on other builds if you don't believe me.EDIT2: doing ctrl-enter in editing mode does weird stuff. Opens settings menu twice and a 'delete track' confirmation window.

Meh, red dots were... so "meh" to me... it makes it look ugly to me ;-;Kramwood wrote:I think that plus the red dots used in contact points for 6.1 should be included in that.gaoyubao wrote:

Also is it possible to put that 60 fps thing you had as a toggle in the settings? It could be used as a fast forward button.
As for Fast Forward, considering it. Me and Shotoku are discussing how to get it to work.
Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
I found a glitch. I'm not sure exactly what is done to activate it, but I know that if Bosh crashes right after placing a flag, the track is saved and the flash player closed, then on the next time the game loads up, Bosh will be riding a broken sled. It can be fixed by removing the flag.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
It's the same reason that in offsled tracks, once the sled is broken, it stays broken even if the contact points are put back in the original positions.
EDIT: Wow, I just said something that I have no idea if it is true or not. And I can't grammar correctly.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
I can't find my sol. When I save my sol has the same size as before and doesn't include my last savings. Is the sol in another folder than localhost? Pls Help, I drew 2000 scenery lines
Edit: Ok, this version doesn't affect my savings or change the sol. When I open a new LR window the last savings are gone...
EditEdit: Savings are working fine when I delete the current sol. I lost all my scenery and I'm pretty pissed about it...I won't use this version anymore. Going back to oldschool 6.7

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
The magnifying glass glitch is back... it probably came when you fixed something else.
EDIT: Sssschiller, I'm just going to confirm that you clicked "Yes" in the popup that asks "Are you sure you want to save the track?" that appears when you hit save. Right?

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Riiiight also if you work with many lines, you can't use the handtool without using the zoomtool before after an autosave

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Also don't ever scene with Kevans versions, they can break the bare track if you use green lines for no apparent reason. Has happened to me a dozen times

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
That's obviously not the whole story Schiller. The only time something like that happens, THE ONLY TIME, is when you have multiple versions of LR open. This was not my fault.Sssschiller wrote:I can't find my sol. When I save my sol has the same size as before and doesn't include my last savings. Is the sol in another folder than localhost? Which I've had fixed for ages. And it wasn't green lines.Shotoku wrote:Also don't ever scene with Kevans versions, they can break the bare track if you use green lines for no apparent reason. Has happened to me a dozen times
Green lines snapping to regular lines has been present since 6.2. But due to the fact they lack a collision function, they affect nothing. But like I've said, fixed.Kramwood wrote:^ I think it might have Something to do with the green line snapping to normal lines
As a further note, I can't fix shit if you guys won't tell me what got you into said situation. That's like me saying Google chrome doesn't work. and that's all I say, and i expect you to fix it.
Also, I'm in a slump right now, so fuck developing for awhile or maybe forever.
Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Dude, I can replicate this in less than 2 minutes. Just get Multiverse Finished .sol from Kramwood's video page, scribble a measly 500 green lines, save, reload, he crashes IN ANY VERSION NOW. Test your own product before claiming you've fixed it and telling me that I'm spreading "rumors" (what you said to me on Steam chat)kevansevans wrote:Which I've had fixed for ages. Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Still fixed.
Like I said, it's nothing to do with the green lines. This is that damn save issue I had to deal with, you force load it like it says in the .txt. I also took the time to update that so it asks you if you want to force load it. if a forced 6.2 load doesn't work, for for 6.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Okay, I followed the instructions you gave me and it is restored Still doesn't rub right with me, so I'm not going to use it to scene personally, but it hasn't completely broken the track.
Also, be sure to change the instructions in the txt to what you told me, as in make sure there are no lines loaded prior to trying to load under different settings.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Updated. added fast forward and fixed broken sled bug. as for dots n contact points, they were causing exponential lag, and I couldn't target the problem. I will try to get it in however.
Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
Another update, please re-download if you're interested.
READ THE DAMN TEXT FILE THAT COMES WITH IT.

Aight, another update. Fixed and improved the save function and reduced quite a bit of redundant code, so this build should run slightly faster.
Please read the .txt included with download for more information, if you are having troubles downloading the .zip, please contact me via skype, steam, or email me at kbeevans@gmail.com. If you plan on emailing me, please include in the subject that it concerns my build.

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
So the "riding a broken sled" glitch is fixed, but I noticed a far more amusing glitch that came from fixing it When the sled breaks after Bosh falls off it, the sled will magically un-break. If the sled then gets broken again, it will unbreak a few moments later again. This is most noticable in alt/prog tracks because of how compact it is, and how easily the sled can get broken while staying in sight. Please don't fix this one

Re: LR 3.4.2 [New drawing function test]
I had a weird glitch, and I didn't see it in the .txt. What happened was during the simulation the hand tool activated and moved the camera during the simulation when I would move my mouse. So far it has only happened once for me, so I don't know exactly how it happens.
