Monster Empty Monster

Post by AkidisPwnage Sun Jul 28, 2013 8:58 pm

Stopped it short because I thought it was getting out of hand, either way I still had a bunch of fun and this is what a weeks worth of linerider time outputs.

the song is the instrumental to Brothers by Kid Cudi
Line count - 548 blue lines and 6 green lines

youtube makes the recording look choppy and I apologize, will upload the video to mediafire or something (does vimeo do 60fps?)

Pretty cool old school stuff. Almost felt like a spaced out Inu style, in a way. Keep this up.

That was pretty baller. Don't see many cool quirk tracks that aren't highspeed anymore. You make neat flings. Make more of those. Nice track. Cool flings. Pretty baller.

Very nice, enjoyable track to watch. One of the few I actually understood what all was going on after not keeping up with LR for so long. Good job!

I'm glad everyone likes my track but it's really annoying me how youtube really took away the smoothness that the original video had, is there any way to change the settings so that it looks smoother next time I upload?

Line Rider runs in 40 fps. YouTube converts this to 30 fps. This means a loss of 10 frames every second, which explains the choppyness. I don't think there's a way to get around that.

^ unless you do a 30fps recording

that slows everything down which can be great in some cases

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiqgZqiij44

probably not for quirks though

so do you think it would be worth doing a re-recording of this track or should i just wait for the next one to come up?

^Nah, don't worry about it. All of our videos are just as choppy, recording in 30 fps wont change a thing because it's still skipping frames in the end, and there's no ultimate way around it. I think it looks fine anyway. Smile

recording in 30fps doesn't skip frames that's why it's so smooth

it's just 75% normal speed

Mhenr did something a while back that allowed to it to play in 40 fps when you set the quality to 240p, not sure how it works, but you could look into it.
