jsk probably had 1 sided lines because he never got 2 sided lines to work.

My bad with the whole ".sol" thing, I'm just used to saying that. I should've said "track save" or ".lrt" or whatever the file format will be. :P
Speaking of which, is there any chance that modding will allow for the writing of file formats other than what it actually saves as? For example, if you wanted to make a mod that exports the track as an image, or a mod that takes a track and describes what happens with text, or something like that.
Or is that one of the things that app store doesn't let you do because you could save as something that overwrites the original program?

If you actually look at the code, it's set up to function as a single side. It sets up a set of conditions, I.e. if x > 0, then [insert collision function], x being the side it's coming from, 0 being the actual spot he hits. So he probably did have double sided, but single sided lines looked far more appealing then double. Because how else were we to make our first loop-de-loop without confusion?

If he managed to do a doubled sided line, he would've probably have added it though?

This is a great idea.

I think that an updated/improved version of the existing game promoting mods is exactly what sells, and exactly what any fan-base needs.
If you've ever played Blood. Or Doom. Or whatever Arena title you may have tried, the community thrives on it. There are still people around, with occasional new members, who still enjoy games from the mid-90s.
Kudos to your idea.
The epiphany you've just had is the basis for any successful mod, and my opinion of this version has been upped threefold (or more). :P

EDIT:

Since I just spoke about mods and such, and since they're going to be such a big part of the game, we might as well have it listed as an in-game feature and have a section for it when stuff comes out. And I hope you can also provide various mods to the pile whenever you feel bothered. Just because you made this C version of the game doesn't mean that you can't do additional mods. This may also mean, however, that the name of the mod will have to be labelled at the top right corner or something just to prevent confusion?

^ If it's made with a physics mod, the track file won't work for anyone else.
If it's made with a drawing tool, it could be recorded in the unmodded version anyway, so it wouldn't make any difference.
So why would there be any need to have them listed on the actual game window itself?

I can imagine quirk tracks w/ an anti-gravity mod being popular. 8D Also fast forward sounds fantastic! Do you have an approximate time when this will be finished?
