Just a little track I made to get the use to linerider again. I haven't played in a while. I hope you guys enjoy it non the less and tell me what you think. Now I go make a good track, k?

Note I did not edit the video AT ALL. I used audio swap, hedge tell me what you think about this editing style since you are looking in that direction.

recording might be a little slow, I didn't do anything special fight me for it. :|

Its more of an omni than a little track, but It was pretty good. I still wish you would do something about those curves, they are pretty messy. Your flings could be a bit more stronger and your XY is actually pretty good as well. Over all you did a very nice job, keep it up. Wink

Wishline, when did you make that system? It is pretty cool and accurate. To the track, I dont know what to say, I dont know enough about quirk to say something clever.

Wish, not to come off as harsh, but I don't really agree with your system of grading.

Anybody can add those tricks into a track, but it depends on how well the tricks are performed. (A crappy manual ruins a track, but would still be good according to that system)

Aaaaannnnnyways, the track was interesting. That airtime at 0:33 is gangsta.

but as far as this track goes Rich, wow I didn't think you were this good Very Happy I thought other music could have gone very well with this! I liked the variety of styles n' such. Well keep making tracks dude, nice job!

Heehee, thanks. And really recently. I'm trying things out as to how to definitively classify tracks. I need lots of tracks, so if you want I will rate yours, being as they're of a different ability :P

I don't think you're being harsh. What I would say is the system is in Beta as I try and work out what gives accurate results. The reason a whopping 20 points is allocated to a miscellaneous section, plus added points for extra fast, extra smooth, extra flowy is to try and combat exactly the problem you're talking about.

I hope you lot won't mind if I keep playing around and see what works Smile

This is depressing, do you guys really think tracks can be evaluated based on quantifiable things like the direction the track took, the smoothness of the curves, the number of tail manuals?

Answer - I'm experimenting with a concept that relies in part on technical aspects of Line Rider which seem to have a bearing on the importance of a track. Easily abandoned if it doesn't work. Smile

What about the entertainment in watching it? Some tracks would score really low on your scale but be very entertaining...

They can get up to 20 points based on that alone. A quirk which looks the same as any other quirk might get about 4. A track by a new person showing serious improvement gets like 9. A track which makes me want to watch it again (Jagged Peak Adventure, Breathtaking Silence, Bolted to the Wall) get 18,19,20. Smile

Good to know Smile. So how would something like this be scaled to your list? www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcXGVcPwBjI Because I really like this track.

That's interesting, because for a track so short it would hit so many of my points. Spec-uals (a catch-all term I've just invented for granuals, kramuals etc), flings in loops, three types of manuals. The recycling, speed and flow and XY would be rewarded in those 20 points and elsewhere. The fact the track was over before it began would be penalised. It'd probably get good, great, maybe even excellent on a good day xD

I hope you don't mind your track thread being taken up with talk about this...that wasn't my intention. Sorry!
