BoltKey - Some random ramps all over the place
Here we go, my third track here. I could not think of any better name so I just named it like this.
I know that manuals are still guite unbalanced. Just tell me what do you think of the scenery (or even of the track if you have something you feel like telling me). (Oh, and also if you are wondering what is that thing in the end, take it as a sky castle. Have you ever seen a sky castle? So you cannot say it does not look like it, huh?)

I loved all the scenery! It's a bit generic, but you executed it with such accuracy, it looks great!
The manuals were fine, too
The monument was just lines, though.

Your manuals were not bad but its not your manuals, its those curves which are the problem. You should try smoothing your curves out even more than they are. That scenery was not bad as well, watch some of BHCS's scenery tracks, maybe you might pick up something from his stuff. Other than that you did are pretty good job.

@Stallie: Is there any trick or technique to smooth out the lines or just practice?

Zoom all the way in and make your lines smaller.

Pretty darn good for your third track
As for the manuals and what-not, maybe make the curves a bit more round. I find that this helps balance out the manuals more. The scenery could have been a bit more consistent with the sizes, at some points it seemed as though the bar things were at least whale size, when other points were the size of a common house cat.
Good job

Although they help, they aren't guaranteed to help make your manuals smoother. I can make a pretty gosh darn smooth manual with some big hunky lines zoomed pretty far out if I really wanted to. I actually started out making my manuals at default zoom level, and they turned out pretty good after a while.
It is just practice, honestly, same with everything else. Expecting some sort of trick to instantly make you better is stupid (not saying you are). If you are dedicated enough and just keep at it, you can accomplish so much. Start with getting some more basic tricks down before trying the more advanced ones. It bothers me to see people who can barely make any type of manual try tricks such as alt flings and alternating single direction flings and whatever else you whippersnappers call the hard stuff.

cereal makes nice curves without super tiny lines. It's the dexterity that comes with practice and experience that does the trick, not line size.Stallie wrote:BoltKey wrote:@Stallie: Is there any trick or technique to smooth out the lines or just practice?

EDIT: I should probably say something about the track too XD. It was great! Even more exceptional was the fact it was your third track. The scenery was a bit generic, but at least it was coherent throughout and had one central theme. Add a bit of variety (ex. monuments, perks, varied shadings, etc etc.) to make the track more interesting to watch. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Awesome job!

To make smoother manuals, try making it consistently. As in, make one line angled at 90 degrees, next 92 next 94, and so on, try to not have it more angled at one point more than others, such as at 0:36. It looks like there is a bump in the manual. Not sure if this has been said already
Try watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA-pFp5tIU8
some if not most can be applied to all of your manuals too, it is a great tutorial made my Rafael, hopefully it can help you with all of the basics, and what manuals are all about
As for the track and scenery overall, I really enjoyed it, it reminded me of the past scenery tracks, and felt throw-back. Yet it had more speed and a modernized feel, with throw-back scenery which looked great! For the scenery, obviously you know it was just a lot of random ramps everywhere but it looked good. Try making more detail next time, some places looked very bare, and in one place you could see where a line ("hill") ended, try to make scenery go off screen so it doesn't look emptied like that.
IN the end had a lot of fun watching this track, and it was surprisingly good for your 3rd track! Very good, keep up the work and keep improving!

Whoa!
You've improved at a much faster rate than anybody would have thought. I'm really impressed. Really. Manuals are getting much better, some quirks in there, and your scenery was getting charming and more consistent.
I'm really looking forward to how you continue to develop. You already make me look bad

Pretty cool
Thought the music fit pretty well for that, very good scenery.
Didn't like the end scenery however, didn't look right
7/10

@kevan: About the thing in the end: Originaly I was going to make it 100% black but then I decided I will record it on bigger screen than I have been building in so the edges got wider and I was too lazy to complete it so I just let it how it was.
Re: BoltKey - Some random ramps all over the place
It was pretty good! The track was smooth and personally, I liked it. You had some manual loops and a few quirks in there and it was just nice to watch. The scenery was also pretty good, and was executed well. But, as far as scenery goes, I would maybe try to incorporate a few more things, and maybe if you're gonna make a sky castle, make it a discernible sky castle, cause I really had no idea what that was. Also, maybe try to smooth out your recording, as it was a little laggy. Overall though, I really did enjoy this track, and for your third one, it's really well done!
