Hedge - Moonguzzit
I got really fed up with the lag. It got bad enough that I ended up putting lines in the wrong places. So, I just went "fudge nugget it", and I decided to record and edit it really quickly.
That doesn't mean, however, that I'll stop doing scenery. Honestly, regular trackmaking seems a little on the boring side, so I need a little something extra to spice it up. However, from now on, the scenery will be a bit lighter
Spotter's guide:
On right: tiny fish. Honestly, they could be bugs. Who the **** knows. They are often used by the locals to hide quirks.
On left: slightly larger tiny fish. They still could be bugs. They are often used by Hedge to be incredibly lazy with scening.
These could be air bubbles, or they could be a clue about four-gender systems among tiny fish.
Dangerously ugly flowers (shown, largest thing there) are known to eat tiny fish, slightly larger tiny fish, and people's hands.
Sealizards are one of the few beings equipped to eat dangerously ugly flowers. Mostly because they don't have any hands. However, that also means that they rarely play Line Rider.
Right: a furry tree. The name may or may not be misleading, as it may or may not actually be thorny. No one has actually checked, as they're incredibly boring.
Left: Tumor plants leech off of furry trees, using their air-filled tumors to stay afloat. Everything eats them, and not one has complained yet.
Wtfish (shown) are really, really stupid-looking. Recent studies show that they may actually spawn from furry trees. Then again, they could just be swimming behind them.
Wtjellies are even weirder. Their name doesn't even make any sense. Then again, they don't make any sense, so it all balances out.
Holy****snakes (shown: head only) are really, really, scary. They may have several sets of negative-space boobs. What is known, however, is that they use their needle-like appendage to kick some serious wtfish-wtjelly butt.
Worms are boring.
Squirrels, occasionally showing concerning signs of rabies, are very common. Their sheer number may explain how they can do so much work on WRtL.
:Is are rare, and like to hide in undersea rocks.
That's no moon!
Generally we like to pretend that these don't exist, but we can see evolutionary paths that may lead to them emerging in the meat pies section of the forum.
That was the most fun part of making this track/thread/video. True story.

I'm pretty sure my nephew can do better than this, and he's like 2 years old with downs syndrome

Re: Hedge - Moonguzzit
You forgot rabids arms, why did you only draw his boobs?
Anyways, I liked it, but it seemed.. Random. Kinda felt like a lot of small crowded lines more than it did a themed well thought out scenery track though :\
Just my thought

Re: Hedge - Moonguzzit
Quite short. But I think it looked good. Wasn't too dense or too sparse in any isolated patches; was consistent.
And I love consistency in scenery.
Lol the 3 eyes thing. Dubstep and legos.
Nice job Hedge. I'm glad you made the trees work

I lol'd, the track was very nice, the scenery was prefect and so was the flow of the music. You did a good job, though there is one thing I think you could have done, which would have been showing the color version of the track.

Lol, I saw you working on this in the stream.
It was very original and consistant, although it seemed to lack depth. Kinda wish it were longer, but I seriously enjoyed it!

Re: Hedge - Moonguzzit
LOVED watching you scener this and the end result was epic, can anyone find the secret "H4M"?
Re: Hedge - Moonguzzit
It's hard to do depth when there's no lighting coming from a specific direction and you can't do a little bit of dot-outlining for things that are far away. I'll make up for it in the next one.Cereal wrote:Lol, I saw you working on this in the stream.

It's very hard to scene this genre of track, haha. I'll work on it for future stuff. Remember that this is my first try.Traxis wrote:Anyways, I liked it, but it seemed.. Random. Kinda felt like a lot of small crowded lines more than it did a themed well thought out scenery track though :\

I do not remember posting this O.orabid squirrel wrote:lol idc
EDIT: oh it was about Hedge's double post... which would explain why I didn't see this thread yet, because I was directed here by the reported post and then it was marked as read so I thought I had already seen it. lol.
anyway, nice job for a first scenery track! I noticed you like small lines of similar length a lot - try to break out of that and think more about shapes, and curved lines, and how to create those with the straight line tool. But yeah, hope to see more scenery from you!
Re: Hedge - Moonguzzit
Pretty interesting scenery style! I was pretty impressed with this, and it almost reminded me of DaPoe... The track was very good, and pretty much what I expected to see from you. Overall this was a very nice track with very nice scenery, great job!
