Yes they can. I can.
Although not as much as my dad. xD
He can be accurate at telling fps up to around 130. His co-workers have checked.

It's a useless argument, though. YT runs at 30 and I'm sure that sites have a similar cap. It would be great to have imo, but I already conceded that it's not practical as of yet.

Rev, you definitely can. I have a CRT that I can run at 85Hz and it looks a whole lot smoother than any 60Hz LCD.

Any chance of an automated pan system in unleashed? I really liked CF3 because of the radical camera panning, and it would be cool to do something like that in-game.

I think kev made something similar to what i'm talking about.

Have been making good progress with some OpenGL UI work. In addition, I've started to use the GLFW library which lets me build for OSX, Windows and Linux from the same source.
I'm making UL more game-like in that on OSX it's not going to behave as a document based app anymore - it'll run identically on all platforms. Because it's more game-like now, it needs a title screen. Remember the mockups from a while ago?

Bit of new UI work - LR now has popover menus that I can use for things. Really starting to enjoy this custom UI stuff now Smile Also, if you're concerned about this being yet another restart, it's not. ALL of the simulation and rendering code from the previous build that's playable on OSX is identical and runs fine. I just have to build a new interface for it all ^_^

This should be up and running on OSX in a week or so, and Windows in another week or so after that. There's nothing in the core game code that's platform specific, but I've made some extensions to the GLFW framework for things like showing the load/save panels which I need to implement individually for each platform.

Yeah they ended up a bit smaller than they should be. I'll fix up the .gfk's later. Just trying to get the performance up on Windows right now, it's quite choppy and I don't know why. Need to run a profiling tool to see what's going on - it could just be that my VM's slow but I doubt it.

Also, there's one issue that a few people will almost certainly run into (Conun hit it on a system with an i5 which is a bit scary), which is that your graphics chip needs to support OpenGL 2.0+, GL_EXT_framebuffer_multisample and GL_EXT_framebuffer_object. If you don't have those three (GL_EXT_framebuffer_multisample isn't strictly needed, but everything looks crap otherwise), Unleashed won't run.
