Define contribution

Post by StingReay on Sat Jan 15, 2011 3:09 pm

Sorry I didn't explain this: What exactly do you mean by contribution... like contributions to the playability of Line Rider or just general forum contribution? This has been confusing me for a while.

First one is virtually impossible now. xD Almost everything in LR has been discovered, nothing is really new anymore. Second one is completely possible.

Who said that contributions to the playability of Line Rider means discovering something new? :/

It's actually one of the better ways to do it.

Meh..before Vision came out, noone thought there'd be more to discover in line rider...after Vision came out the "discovering rate" reached its zenith pretty much I guess.. and now the opinion went back to "there's nothing to add"?

Apart from that, there are much more ways to "contribute to the playability of Line Rider". Just as an example, make something original. And by that I mean you shouldn't put 'orginial' on the same level as 'new'.
More specific example: take something old and combine it with something else or whatever seems original.

Anyway, I guess I know what was on your mind..

EDIT: totally had to +rep you for that Votale xD

I have to disagree with that. I can see why you could say that about track making and quirks but I think there is much yet to be explored in LR scenery. When 6.8 is released I think it will be much easier to make those explorations thanks to the reduced lag.

And yeah contribution is just doing things that have an impact. That could be in the world of line rider or in making the forum a better place to be.

Georgio, you created stuff that's both original and new. Like your recycled manual (on the bottom). It's like new and super original. So there is still stuff to discover even today. Idk if that's that's what you're saying or not xD

I think you're saying that to contribute to Line Rider (the game not the forums), do original stuff, not necessarily new stuff. Georgio succeeds in doing both, and I envy him :|

lol @ votale XD just don't try to voluntarily contribute. When you want to post something, post it. That's how i roll.

And to contribute "new stuff" in the forum, it's basically getting more members.

you contribute to line rider just by making tracks. you don't have to do anything new, you don't even have to be good. just the fact that you play contributes to the community. trying too hard to be somebody is what everyone is all about these days.
