Sent you my full library of sols. I have yet to browse through the website to find hidden gems.

For the moment, you can play this quiz I've created a long long time ago : http://www.sporcle.com/games/Noname219/200_irtl
I will post the full list when I have more time.

Thanks very much for the .sols! Added them all the the archive.

I went through about a thousand archived IRTL pages today. A lot of nothing but some really cool stuff including:
- an archive of my IRTL profile from october 2007
- willster092's scenery guide
- divx file of a dawg's song
- conundrumer's anti gravity well tut
- TedM's recording tut reposted by LRC

I had compiled a list of people I might forget if I didn't get their stuff so I went ahead and grabbed their vids:
- ganoderma
- LRC
- Mephisto
- Bogden (I think a lot of his older videos are gone)
- TheoQ99
- Doneyear / Hiyapickels
- tom69
- Charlie Bone
- IDTL
- LineKirby (& a CD collab)
- nightwasp
- mtgtopdeck

I also added SETH, I missed him because he didn't start LR until 2010 and quit in 2013 but he was from .fr

I'll make it my mission this summer to record as many of these old .sols as I can. I doubt we'll need or worry about and editing much so we can just upload them as collections for each person with generic background music.

Just let me know that you're ready to record stuff and I can give you a list of priorities. Some I think a remaster would be great for, some are unfinished or unreleased tracks that would be nice to get out into the world, and some are .sols of lost tracks that I am hoping to figure out the music for. (And some of them aren't really worth the trouble of recording TBH.)

From now until May I'll be in school so I can do like 2 a week. During the summer I'll be at home most nights so I'll probably be able to do a lot more, say 4-5 a week. There's also time during week ends that I can use to get extra work done then as well.

So I knocked off a few people from my I-might-forget-about-you list, and then from comments on videos I added a whole ton more. So many people made line rider videos, sheesh! And the vast majority of them have been long forgotten.

Here's who I archived today:
- kohuded
- Lone Rocket
- Z1PP1N
- AfroThunder
- Greatgoalie / Benwubbleyou
- Smitsy
- Olecool

I'm addicted. Can't stop. More people:

- LRD - youtube deleted, found 1 collab and the name of 1 track that won a MOTW

- absox - youtube deleted but I have most of his .sols. None of them are really noteworthy unless people actually remember the tracks he made. May have vindication but if I do it's only a partial .sol. I think I have shadows and light which tied for 3rd in a MOTW but it doesn't appear to be finished and I don't personally remember the video.

- BBO - If I could remember what BBO stood for maybe I could find his stuff. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT BBO STOOD FOR? As it is I only can find Dark Matter and Elite Epic Battle 2.

- awesomekid592 - youtube deleted. got a couple collabs and his thornclan stuff.

- Snooze - only two tracks, one collab, and two unfinished .sols from Heta 2, but I think that's all he ever made.

- RML / RideMyLines (think most old vids were deleted)
- MagicMarvin / xMagicMarvinx
- Bushradar22

my list of people I might forget about has grown to 60 something. send help.

Vimeo is great. Vimeo is love.

Dude, I'm so gonna link you every LR Vimeo profile I'll see. Those are gold mines. Have you gone through the MOTW 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners too ?

Re: Making a Big Fat Line Rider Archive

Post by rabid squirrel on Thu Jan 14, 2016 10:56 pm

^ Thanks a bunch! Some I had already found, some I hadn't, and some I hadn't looked for yet. Great list to refer to!

Too bad shadows and light isn't on his vimeo. I could just record the possibly-unfinished sol I have and release it...

----------

SO, today I took the plunge and archived ClosedDoor. I have managed to acquire a huge number of his .sols (via a zip pack inside chih's zip pack inside bilbioly's zip pack and old .sols ZNF had of CD's), and I went through them all and labeled them appropriately. I got some files off his old channel and some out of my own archives I had used to put them on IRTLTube when he deleted his vids, and also tracked down as many collabs as I could find.

Then there were still some .sols that there was no video to be found for. Two of them I am sure were track releases (Acid Aroma and Funky Flyin'), and I'm pretty sure nobody will remember the original songs used for them. So I browsed through an auto-generated youtube playlist from the song for Hyperactive Disorder and grabbed some music and I'll be re-releasing them. I also took this opportunity to record a bunch of unfinished saves I was able to find and putting them into another from the archives compilation.

Anyway, here is the playlist of all ClosedDoor's track that we have: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoKj2krkU6XeXiTP4vE2iR8DcA8dfKhP-

Acid Aroma rerecorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mB5vaGgYFM
Funky Flyin' rerecorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NlgbFxV9g4
From the Archives, ClosedDoor 2007-2009: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkOYQ5HLyao

----------

I also made some progress on ZNF's archive. Here is the list I made of tracks that we have but that need to be rerecorded:
- dragon's hill (super short w scenery)
- flynx (first xy flings)
- squishy (Scened by LRG)
- Xorry (Scened by LRG)
- red dog (Scened by CC)
- Burned (all red, won MOTW 24)
- dutch devils (collab with steffo and closeddoor. video unavailable due to copyright)
- quirkology 4 (collab with anomaly, joonas, conun, owly, x612nt13, namtlade, linejs. video unavailable due to copyright)
- prisoner (in a box)
- flip it / Xtreme X (all x)

And here is the playlist of all the ZNF videos we do have:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoKj2krkU6Xf_9dxhyPpq9YRwGbIIP37F

----------

I also took the time to make a playlist with all of the recovered kramwood videos, in order: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoKj2krkU6Xf8QebbaK1gxmYMOm3oo1qG

Whew.

Re: Making a Big Fat Line Rider Archive

Post by rabid squirrel on Sun Jan 17, 2016 12:14 am

Before going into what I did with the biggest projects in this archive (ZNF), a few other things I managed to do:
- Sorted through some large collab videos (4 Boxez, Tales of Ten, Quirkology 4, Barrelin' Kirbies stuff, TNS stuff, CMT stuff, Thorn Clan stuff, Mudkipz stuff) and got them into each person's folder
- Managed to download Dutch Devils and Quirkology 4 despite them being blocked in the vast majority of countries, reuploaded to IRTLTube muted versions, with dropbox links to videos with music in the description.
- Updated ZNF & CD playlists with some of the larger collabs I missed.

Now some stuff I got from ZNF's many collab .sol folders:
- an unfinished ZNF & anomaly collab (ZNF is stalling it and then it's gonna be released Very Happy)
- An Owly .sol with approximately a dozen tracks in various states of completion. Some released, some not. I will be putting together a garbage collection of the stuff I found of his that has never seen the light of day.
- Olecool .sols, including an unfinished track, and unfinished collab with BHCS, and what was going to be a collab with ZNF but ZNF never made more than a second or so of track after Olecool's part.
- Tales of Ten and 4 Boxez .sol files
- A couple Purtle .sols (youtube account gone)
- A Caddyshacker .sol (youtube account gone)
- Some Shadow .sols
- Some ClosedDoor .sols (which were in the previously posted archive)
- An unfinished collab with DaPoe (scenery!)
- Alternate Metamorphic track parts and scenery parts
- An unfinished collab with STP
- An unfinished collab wth Ceph
- An unfinished collab with Sorvius
- An unfinished collab with LRG
- An unknown collab "BIGinsp" (?)
- Unfinished partial .sol of the IRTL/FR collab, parts by joonas, Moizut, ZNF

AND NOW, the lost tracks of ZNF's that I have rerecorded (so far):
- Xorry
- Prisoner
- Burned
- Flynx
- Red Dog
- Squishy
- Extreme Squarkiness (track done, scenery unfinished, unreleased)
- MaXYmum (track done, scenery unfinished, unreleased)
- "Recycle 2" (finished, unreleased)
- "300lines" (finished, unreleased)
- "25" (finished, unreleased)
- ".3k" (unfinished)
- "Complex" (unfinished)
- about 2 dozen stalls
- more fun tidbits

All of this stuff has been recorded and will be released. But whether you can believe it or not, I'm only about halfway through the .sols :O

^ I'll send you everything that's unreleased before I put it up on the internet, haha! I'm currently thinking of putting it all in one big fat garbage collection.

Check your skype, I sent you some recordings of tracks (squishy, flynx, burned, xorry) for you to pick songs for! (Are PMs a better way to reach you?)

Re: Making a Big Fat Line Rider Archive

Post by rabid squirrel on Tue Jan 19, 2016 6:52 pm

Time for an update!

I have officially gone through all the ZNF .sols I can find, here are the rest of the tracks I found:
- Hillz
- Dragon's Hill
- OWNT (We are 90% sure this is what "recycle 2" is)
- Smooth (second video in Smooth Stalling which I only just recently found out existed, despite scening the first track rofl)
- Xtreme X (all X)
- 10101 (Ten minute trackmaking contest - not the original video but the track and 3 failed attempts)
- "200" (finished, unreleased)
- ABQS (track finished, scenery unfinished, unreleased)
- "OWN" (unfinished, made too late to be OWNT)
- "Smooth 2" (unfinished)
- "NEW" (unfinished)
- "All" (unfinished)
- "NEW XY" (unfinished)
- "recycle" (unfinished)
- "offsled" (unfinished)
- more stall

I also found .sols of LOVE, EVOL, Xtra (with Ram Tzu), Checkpoints, Spaghetti (from crossing worlds), and Retroceso.

I also found this stuff:
- A WENDEL SOL with Crazy Castle Run, Crazy Pirate Ship, and AN UNRELEASED UNFINISHED 90% NOSE MANUAL TRACK THAT PREDATES CRAZY CASTLE RUN AND THUS WAS MADE WITHIN A WEEK OF BETA 2'S RELEASE?????!!!!!!! I believe we are looking at the first 90% nose manual track ever created, created a month before Holcomb's "The Amazing Nose Manual" and a month and a half before Wendel's track "Manuals". That's HUGE man.
- 2 sols of tracks, Oddball and Bluezorz, by daugystik, whose videos were deleted
- .sol of an unreleased blue manuals track by tom69
- .sol of Lost 3 by IDTL, which was never finished
- .sols of some of TechyKat / Dawn of Sock's tracks (powers EB2, watch the clock, push and pull, invisible intervention, flow, pinch time)
- .sols of some of Doneyear's tracks (Quiravity, Quiranual 3, Burned out Peg)
- .sols of Manuals Suck 1 & 2 by Shadow
- .sol of Techxor by Theo
- .sol of Newton by tom69, hedge, and shammies
- partial .sol of Vambera by Virtuso's Angels (Catz, TigerLine, GhostY, Kohuded, Wolf, Smitsy)
- partial .sol of 4 moar boxez (can't figure out why I don't have the whole thing because I did the last part lol)

Also, turns out some of the stuff I thought was Theo's was 1) released or 2) actually LineKirby because ZNF put them in the wrong folder lol

Video Releases:
- Owly circa Fall 2007: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWYfXY5Ugzo

And now that I'm basically through ZNF's stuff, I'm going back to archiving people:
- darklight
- linedpie90
- Loz (youtube deleted)
- tlbs (youtube deleted)

I have lots more video releases coming but I'm gonna spread them out to a max of 1 major release per day.

- lizzlerizzlemasta / Myspacer82
- FrozenLR
- Kamper (How have I never seen this guy's stuff before???)
- IRALR (deleted his videos, also I have some of his .sols?)
- Kiwi / commanderkiwi6
- MegaSonicX

Also did some categorization in my "sort later" pile because it was getting HUGE. put everyone's names who took part in a collab in the filename for easy reference (now I can just search for their name!) Took a while though.

Oh and the video release for today was The First Nose Manual Track Ever by wendel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ-hCfr_EYs

Video releases:
- OWNT by ZNF
- Bluezorz & Oddball by daugystik
- Quirk Soul by ZNF & anomaly
- Steffo dec 07 - feb 08
- ZNF shorts (incl. squishy, red dog, xtreme x, 10101, smooth, & others)

More archived people:
- Insomnia115 / Fliptastic / hello123456789012
- bernced
- ryanisbest100
- Seraph
- Felipe Potter
- b0rk0
- techtreme
- IRLnewb
- 7rn
- yobanjojoe
- ZxG

Big thing I did today:
I realized that the way I was handling large collabs (putting a copy of the video in each participant's folder) was bad (silent flame scened x25 would end up taking up like 10GB of space :O) so I made a new folder for collabs with >3 people, and am putting aliases/shortcuts to the collab files in each participant's folder. Much better. Was like 5 hours of work though >.<

Did I send you all my stuff? I see my name in the .sols spoiler in the first post but I don't recall if I gave that stuff to you or if you just found that from other means. Really excited reading through all your posts though. The history of LR is important to me.

This is friggin awesome.

^ go check it out in the tracks section!

I don't have all your stuff (just some .sols I got from other people and some videos from various places), I'd love it if you want to like, zip everything and send it my way.

I haven't bumped or updated this in a while, but I have continued to archive.

If you are reading this, I want your .sols! I have some .sols but it's still a tiny fraction of the .sols I wish I had. Is there a reason nobody seems to want to send me the .sols they have? So far I have gotten sols from bilbiOly, noname219, and BHCS. That's all. What gives?
