Do people really still care about using green lines, like for integration and misdirection and the ilk?

I know lukking does, but I'm wondering what the general consensus is. Personally, I think we've moved beyond being so strict on technicalities. If a green line helps the track, why not use it? I think we're at a point where a successful track is more than following the "rules". Maybe I'm ill informed. I'm not quite in the loop anymore, so tell me if you disagree. Very Happy

oh I care when people use green lines - I love it! I love how we're starting to use them to create an aesthetic regardless of their function in the track. (Hoping for an eventual merging of scenery and quirk green)

Personally I typically assess a track based on what it looks like during standard playback. If you use blue lines that don't affect him to do it, I don't have a problem with it at all (though it just seems like more work for the same result)

Well i dont like green line integration because it requires less skill than using blue lines.
im all for misdirecting and integrating but i try to only use blue lines. its a rule i made for myself.

I like it! It's really unexplored territory, and I want to see someone really crank it up to 11 Smile

Funny timing as I just made my first ever integration today. I'm not that good at it yet, but I personally agree with Lukking. I find that when doing integration with track lines, it forces you to pay attention to line angles more and it just feels a little bit more rewarding when you do pull it off. Smile

sometimes it isnt possible to get exactly what you want when using track lines only, so i dont think it really matters at all

I also just want to throw it out there that it's not always possible to make a line blue, e.g. if he passes through the same spot in two different directions. I know that when Raf and I were doing Miracle Blood Factory he was trying to do all his integrations blue but he ran into some spots where he couldn't and how he uses green lines whenever he feels like it.

EDIT: chugs beat me lol
