Ummm... yeah. People are focused on making things perfect. Every well has to be as strong as possible, in the right place, at so many wells per second. Every manual has to look exactly right for us to be happy. And we have to do so all while making our tracks synced to music up to 5 minutes in length. I think if anything, we've reached a very tedious time in Line Rider history, if not a very skilled one.

It's clearly a skilled one.
My main problem is that I'm progressing and still experimenting. I can release shorts but spending a long time on a new technique or aspect of style to make a 2 minute or so track for me doesn't make sense. And that is what ends up happening. Sure, that would mean releasing more stuff from me but I wouldn't be proud of it.
What kind of atmosphere would be conducive to releasing more stuff? I mean, geez so long as we establish ourselves the level of skill shouldn't be so criticized. I find SUBSTANCE more critical than fancimess.

Basically why I made The Source 2. I'd love to see more people play for the sake of playing instead of always trying to top their latest best track. Remember why you started playing. Not because you wanted to impress everyone but because you liked fooling around. Stop caring about how all your tracks look and remember what made this game so much fun!

rafael, while that sounds amazing in concept, in practice for me that doesn't make sense yet. I'm not tense enough, I don't know this game like I'd like, and I discover things much faster with my current attitude.
*2 minutes pass as I forget to have clicked send*
However, this game has serious emotional aspects tied to it for me and I do remember how much fun it is to relaly in essence just be messing around. Skill is just a matter of perspective and practically mythical. I bet I could accidentally make a new glitch or trick ;P

such inspiring words, rafael. I'mma take that advice and stop trying to outdo Chuggers and Kramwood in quirk and Shotoku in style.
I admit, a lot of my motivation lately was the drive to compete. I spend less time making the tracks I enjoy making and make more of them than I spend time on the tracks I don't enjoy making as much as I enjoy having them made.
Stacks take so much time :P time to relax, thanks rafael Thumbs Up

or maybe you guys could all participate in these WCC projects where all you have to do is make a few seconds of a particular style? I got half a dozen projects that are sitting around with nobody to work on them.

Honestly, the fun of this game comes from one of three things at any one time, never more than one at a time, for me: Ridicuslouly techincal repeatable but practically unattainable skillful tricks, stylish inspiring tracks and concepts tied with music to make something eye-catching, and everybody in the community just being fun to be around.
I happen to find gwells fascinating Smile
