What should we do about the situation with the old site? Help us decide!

Here are our options, please vote on which you would rather we do. Don't worry too much about issues of cost, time, or stuff like that, just tell us what you would like the best.

Also, note that the results of this poll do NOT determine our decision. The staff will make the final decision, though this poll will be helpful in our decision-making and will likely influence it.

def. the second option. and it think members that never were at the old irtl shouldn't vote, because they didn't experience the epicness of the old irtl.

It's quite simple. Now that we know TD's around again, we'll go to iridethelines.com/forums, regardless of who controls it, although giving FTP access to the admins would be ideal.

As a side, remember who has control of the domain that you guys are looking to go to.

If you do end up making your own, if Mike can design a psd to look something like TD's site, i can get someone to put it into skin code.

Skinning really isn't hard if you know what you're doing.

Doing something to look like TD's site (i.e a clone) would be considered plagiarism, given that TD paid someone to design the theme for him, so it would have to have a different aesthetic.

Wait until November, and then open the site up if TD hasn't responded.

As long as we have a fourm. Without any type of fourm LR would be dead, as IRTL/WRTL is the most active fourm in linerider ATM.

Any fourm is good with me.

I think we should wait until December. (December = christmas = more time for everyone and for TD)

As mean as it is to TD, get it up ASAP, we've waited long enough

Though I was split between two options,

Wait till november, or be happy with what ever.

Though I am happy with whatever, I did have almost 3K posts, a rank, and i liked the overall layout of Old IRTLS better.

But the otherside of me is split to me feeling bad about TD. I mean hes living on the edge of not having enough money for food, water, or even his house he lives in. Being able to run a forum about a toy, well just doesnt seam that important. We should all consider our selfs lucky, and fortunate that we have Internet connection that we can basicly go on EVERYDAY,

But eh, i felt that since TD isnt really going to be able to help us, some kids that joined his website that we should open it our selfs.

Make a phpBB site. There's no good reason to pay for vBullitien, and waiting for TD every single time something needs to be done is insane. Mhenr's optimistic that he'll get root access, but I'm doubtful on that one.

I think someone should make a "Donate to TD" video on youtube with a paypal link. Remember the "New IRTL!!" video idea? That worked pretty well for spreading the word, if we were to do that with Donate video, it might work a bit.

I really don't know, as long as we have a site I guess.

Hard decision for me, but I decided to vote for waiting until November.

PhpBB. I personally like that better then vB. I hate to leave TD in the situation he's in, but I think he would understand our predicament as well. We've been stuck in between sites for quite some time now, I think it would be nice to have a place we can permanently call our "home" again.

FC, I'm not saying I want root access. I want the admins to have it.

Stay here or old site in November, as long as we don't have to start all over again.
